Your pledge or donation will help New Jersey Audubon's Plainsboro Preserve continue the mission of serving our neighbors in central New Jersey through our educational and conservation programs.
Our 1,000 acres of preserved open space are home to over six miles of trails that meander through mature woods, meadows, and the shoreline of scenic McCormack Lake.
Over the past 5 years, we've engaged nearly 20,000 local students, scouts, and summer campers by sharing the wonders of nature and fostering a deeper connection with the natural world. In the last year alone, we've run more than 200 family nature programs, attended by 5,000 birders, hikers, children, and parents.
Join Our Team
Have you ever wanted to participate in the World Series of Birding, but weren’t sure how to go about it? Join us for a fun-filled Big Day in central New Jersey. Birders of all skill levels and experience are welcome. We need your eyes and ears to reach our goal of identifying 115 species of birds on the day.
Participants will experience the fun and excitement of the World Series of Birding without the need for extensive planning and scouting ahead of time. The pace will be moderate, allowing us to enjoy the birds we find in a variety of habitats, including the Sourland Mountains, grasslands, salt marsh, and the beaches of Raritan Bay.
There is no registration fee, but participants are expected to pledge at least one dollar per species, with all proceeds benefiting Plainsboro Preserve's mission of education and conservation.
If you're interested in joining us, please call the Center at 609-897-9400 for more information and to reserve your spot on the team.
If you can't join us on the Big Day, please consider supporting Plainsboro Preserve by clicking on the Donate or Pledge buttons to the left.
